Senior Project Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the interior design initiatives for specialized or more intricate projects.

• Assist Project Designers in the quality assessment of design outputs.

• Bring expertise to the interior space through knowledge of space planning, interior building materials and finishes; casework, furniture, furnishings, and equipment; lighting; acoustics; wayfinding; ergonomics and anthropometrics; and human environmental behavior.

• Implement the complete design process, from the initial sketch to the commencement of construction.

• Work autonomously or with minimal supervision to execute tasks including conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning, and construction documentation.

• Create mood boards, material selections, and design presentations independently or with limited oversight.

• Engage in both internal and consultant meetings.

• Provide extensive and rapid knowledge of FF&E vendors and resources to the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of four (4) years of design experience within the commercial real estate sector.

• A Bachelor’s degree from a CIDA accredited institution in a related field (e.g., Architecture, Interior Design, Corporate Real Estate, Facilities, Project or Construction Management) is preferred, OR a Bachelor’s degree in a different major along with an Interior Design Certification, Degree, or Diploma.

• Experience in space planning using Revit.

• Strong time management, communication, collaboration skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.

• Skills in coordinating with Audio Visual and other specialized consultants.

• Ability to understand, document, and validate the goals and objectives of clients and stakeholders, including design outcomes, space requirements, project budgets, and the need for specific or measurable results.
