This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
⢠Prepare, organize, and submit thorough project setup documentation in line with internal guidelines and contractual obligations.
⢠Maintain precise and current project files, including setup forms, billing requests, customer invoices, and other pertinent documentation to ensure audit readiness and operational efficiency.
⢠Generate and submit customer billing requests, tracking their status until completion. Review invoices for accuracy and obtain necessary internal approvals before submission.
⢠Assist the Project Manager in preparing Purchase Order (PO) requests. Review submissions for completeness, including verification of charge numbers and General Ledger (GL) account coding.
⢠Enter approved Purchase Orders into Costpoint and keep accurate records of all modifications.
⢠Monitor outstanding commitments with vendors and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project budgets and timelines.
⢠Track, report, and analyze key project and cost dataāincluding funding, revenue, billing, unbilled amounts, and open commitmentsāproviding timely insights to stakeholders.
⢠Develop, maintain, and analyze detailed Estimates at Completion (EACs) for assigned projects, identifying trends, risks, and variances from originally proposed budgets and forecasts.
⢠Participate in EAC review meetings with Project Managers and stakeholders to evaluate project performance, staffing needs, and potential funding risks.
⢠Attend internal project kick-off meetings to gather essential data for new contract setup and ensure accurate project implementation.
⢠Prepare comprehensive Project Setup Forms based on contract awards, ensuring correct configuration of employee and vendor workforce data, labor categories (LCATs), and billing rates.
⢠Execute special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
⢠Conduct all business activities in full compliance with Senecaās policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
⢠A Bachelorās degree in accounting, finance, or business disciplines is preferred, along with 5 years of experience (8 years of experience in budgeting, finance, or project control can substitute for the Bachelor's degree).
⢠Extensive experience in government contracting with a robust understanding of various contract types, including Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Time and Materials (T&M), and Cost Reimbursable agreements.
⢠Demonstrated ability to manage and support large, complex contracts with multiple Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs) and diverse revenue streams.
⢠In-depth knowledge of Estimate at Completion (EAC) development, including the associated financial analysis processes and procedures.
⢠Proven analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on identifying trends, risks, and cost efficiencies.
⢠Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and financial modeling.
⢠Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
⢠Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration across departments and levels of the organization.
⢠Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a self-motivated approach and the capability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
⢠Practical experience with Deltek Costpoint and Business Intelligence (Cognos) for financial and data analysis.
