Senior Program Manager – Victim Witness Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with various local, state, federal, and private agencies to develop and maintain a comprehensive catalog of services and contacts.

• Serve as a research and liaison resource for identifying victim witness services from federal, state, tribal, local, and community-based entities.

• Regularly conduct agency needs assessments and analyze findings to devise and implement effective outreach strategies.

• Organize and conduct annual or bi-annual training sessions in partnership with SOIB/VMS, sanctioned by the USMS Training Academy.

• Gather and compile information resources for USMS personnel, including contact points for social services and community organizations.

• Evaluate victim-oriented activities to identify common challenges.

• Create methodologies for problem-solving and offer technical assistance and training to SOIB management.

• Act as a representative for USMS at committees, national conferences, and seminars.

• Stay updated on knowledge and technical expertise related to victim witness assistance issues.

• Support USMS personnel in drafting written responses to inquiries from Congress, Executive branch agencies, and the public.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Psychology, Social Work, or Sociology.

• A minimum of nine years of specialized experience in the responsibilities outlined above.

• Familiarity with procedures related to law enforcement agencies and the management of crime victims, as well as the interaction between public and private entities.

• Understanding of relevant statutes, policies, and procedures for federal victim assistance and the Attorney General's Guidelines on Victim and Witness Assistance.

• Capability to assess compliance with statutes, guidelines, or programs.

• Awareness of community resources and agencies that assist victims of various types of crime.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products.
