Senior Program Manager, People Data Access – Governance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +17 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead the design and management of Zillow’s People Data Access & Governance program.

• Collaborate with HR Business Partners, People Analytics, Legal and Privacy, Security, along with Product and Tech leaders.

• Oversee the comprehensive range of people data access.

• Define the integration of AI-driven tools into the access governance framework.

• Responsible for creating role-based access controls for people data.

• Act as the main decision-maker for inquiries regarding people data access throughout the organization.

• Identify and rectify gaps in the flow of people data within Zillow’s data ecosystem.

• Lead cross-functional teams to promote alignment on data access standards.

• Develop the operational framework of the program.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in data governance, HR technology, people analytics, or technical program management.

• Practical experience with cloud-based analytical platforms, particularly Databricks.

• A well-defined understanding of how AI and LLM-based tools impact the data governance landscape.

• Proven experience managing sensitive data throughout its entire lifecycle.

• Ability to navigate genuine ambiguity at scale comfortably.

• Strong instincts for cross-functional collaboration.

• A solid, principled understanding of the importance of people data governance.

• Adequate fluency in HR domain matters to appreciate the sensitivity of the data being governed.
