This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Define and implement an operational rhythm, processes, and planning frameworks to support sustaining engineering teams.
• Oversee the complete program and project management for feature development, continuous improvement initiatives, and system enhancements across legacy product lines.
• Manage the prioritization of backlogs, roadmap planning, and cross-functional dependencies within Industrial Controls.
• Create transparency mechanisms (such as dashboards, reporting, and status updates) that offer visibility into team health, progress, and risks.
• Develop triage and resourcing procedures for urgent corrective responses to address deployed system failures or product defects.
• Lead the development and implementation of engineering document standards to ensure consistency, quality, and scalability across product lines.
• Monitor incident trends and promote continuous improvement initiatives informed by data-driven insights.
• Design and execute formal handoff processes to transition proof-of-concept systems to sustained engineering ownership.
• Act as the operational link between sustaining engineering and innovation teams within Industrial Controls.
• Convey program status, risks, and successes to senior leadership with clarity and data-informed insights.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in operations, program management, or project engineering within technology or industrial settings.
• Demonstrated success in designing and implementing operational processes, workflows, and frameworks from the ground up.
• Strong project and program management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple complex workstreams at once.
• Exceptional skills in stakeholder management and influence, with the capacity to drive alignment across both technical and non-technical teams.
• A data-driven approach to decision-making, complemented by strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in managing backlogs, feature prioritization, and roadmap planning.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; capable of simplifying complexity into clear, actionable insights.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguous, fast-paced environments with changing priorities.
• An individual contributor mindset, with the ability to influence and achieve outcomes without direct authority.
• Experience in industrial controls, robotics, automation, or related technical fields.
• Background in sustaining engineering operations or product lifecycle management.
• Experience in managing urgent response or incident management procedures.
• Familiarity with resource planning, capacity modeling, and team scaling.
• Proven ability to establish engineering standards, documentation frameworks, or process enhancements.
• Experience working closely with engineering teams as an operational partner.
