• Develop and enhance research programs.
• Establish research philosophies, standards, and best practices throughout the organization.
• Define frameworks, templates, and governance structures that enhance rigor and reduce bias in research implementation.
• Educate product, design, and PM teams on research methodologies, interpretations, and appropriate applications.
• Build scalable research infrastructure which includes participant recruitment, insight synthesis, and knowledge management.
• Maintain a continuous rolling research program.
• Own and manage an ongoing research program that enables consistent user feedback during product development.
• Collaborate with teams to gather research requirements and convert them into structured, methodologically sound testing plans.
• Recruit and facilitate participant sessions regularly, adjusting frequency based on product priorities and research complexity.
• Synthesize findings into actionable insights that guide product direction and design decisions.
• Sustain a research rhythm that balances responsiveness with depth and methodological rigor.
• Execute mixed-methods research.
• Identify and implement suitable qualitative and quantitative methodologies for discovery and evaluative research.
• Conduct interviews, usability testing, concept validation, surveys, diary studies, and experiments.
• Ensure research rigor, bias mitigation, and methodological clarity in all studies.
• Lead strategic research initiatives.
• Define and spearhead long-term research programs that deepen the understanding of users, their behaviors, and mental models.
• Manage external research agencies for larger scoped studies (1–2 per quarter or biannually) with leadership approval.
• Drive synthesis across studies to develop lasting user insights and profiles that steer product strategy.
• Senior-level experience in product/UX research within digital product organizations.
• Proven ability to establish research practices in settings lacking mature research infrastructure.
• Strong mixed-methods expertise with sound judgment in methodology selection.
• Experience managing continuous or rolling research programs.
• In-depth understanding of research rigor, bias mitigation, and insight synthesis.
• Ability to elevate organizational research literacy and mentor non-researchers on best practices.
• Strong collaboration with design and product leadership.
• Comfortable working with high autonomy, navigating ambiguity, and owning program responsibilities.
