This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with agents to enhance new Workers’ Compensation production.
• Underwrite mid-market and program accounts by assessing payroll, class codes, experience modifications, and loss history.
• Structure, quote, and bind business decisions with a disciplined underwriting approach.
• Collaborate closely with carrier markets to negotiate pricing, terms, and coverage that safeguard profitability.
• Track production metrics such as submission-to-bind ratios and portfolio composition.
• Leverage data and analytics to guide underwriting strategies and evaluate portfolio performance.
• Contribute to the development of underwriting guidelines, processes, and the overall platform.
• Over 7 years of experience in Workers’ Compensation underwriting (preferably in an MGA, program administration, or carrier setting).
• A proven history of cultivating agent relationships and increasing premiums.
• In-depth knowledge of WC class codes, experience mods, loss runs, and multi-state regulatory frameworks.
• Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with the capacity to excel in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
• Experience with program business or specialized WC products.
• Multi-state underwriting experience.
• Familiarity with MGA underwriting systems.
• Comprehensive operational support and infrastructure.
