Senior Production Technology Underwriter – Northern California Territory

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee the management and expansion of a portfolio of business in Northern California.

• Assess clients’ business data and claims history.

• Track client activities to adapt policies as risks change.

• Determine the acceptability of individual risks and establish overall risk acceptability, coverage terms, and pricing.

• Collaborate with agents and brokers to cultivate effective and profitable partnerships while ensuring adherence to underwriting guidelines.

• Process new and renewal submissions and endorsement requests from agents and producers.

• Maintain comprehensive underwriting documentation to back up analysis, coverage terms, and pricing decisions.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior underwriters and underwriting support staff.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in commercial underwriting.

• Familiarity with commercial lines underwriting standards and pricing strategies.

• Understanding of coverage form interpretation.

• Excellent customer service abilities.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficient analytical and decision-making capabilities.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

• A valid driver's license and vehicle insurance coverage are required.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
