Senior Product Owner – Utilities

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• In this position, your main responsibility will be to structure and refine requirements to facilitate seamless implementation by the development team.

• You will accurately translate business needs into epics, features, and user stories, documenting them with clear acceptance criteria.

• A significant aspect of your daily work involves backlog management, where you continuously balance product objectives, business impact, and technical feasibility.

• You are accountable not only for the content but also play a vital role in ensuring smooth delivery within the team.

• By establishing clear processes, stable planning, and reliable execution, you will create a framework that allows the team to work efficiently and with focus.

• Furthermore, you will ensure that all requirements are thoroughly understood from both a business perspective and a technical standpoint, meeting the Definition of Ready.

• Coordinating key delivery processes — including refinements, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives — is also part of your responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• You possess several years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role within product management or software development.

• Ideally, you have previous experience in an SAP environment or with complex system landscapes.

• You are skilled at analyzing and structuring complex requirements and converting them into actionable tasks.

• Acting as a liaison between business and technology, you maintain a broad overview of both domains.

• You work in a methodical manner, set clear priorities, and consistently drive topics to completion.

• A strong sense of responsibility for results, quality, and delivery characterizes you, along with confident communication skills in both German and English, and enjoyment in collaborating with international stakeholders.
