This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Taking ownership of, refining, and prioritizing the CCS product backlog to align with the roadmap.
• Crafting precise user stories and acceptance criteria, and approving completed work.
• Serving as the main contact for engineering regarding requirements inquiries during the sprint.
• Collaborating with Product Management on discovery, gathering customer feedback, and ensuring release readiness for new CCS products.
• Responsibilities include managing and refining the CCS product backlog: authoring user stories, defining acceptance criteria, providing supporting context, and keeping the backlog prioritized based on the roadmap established by Product Management.
• Leading backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospective ceremonies as the product representative within the scrum team.
• Translating roadmap initiatives—including the Forms solution, Referral Management platform, and other CCS programs—into release plans, epics, features, and stories that engineering can evaluate and commit to.
• Making daily prioritization and trade-off decisions within the sprint; escalating scope or roadmap-level decisions to the Product Manager.
• Approving completed user stories against acceptance criteria and confirming readiness for release.
• Collaborating with engineering and QA to triage defects, clarify edge cases, and quickly resolve ambiguities to prevent team delays on requirements.
• Coordinating with UX/design to ensure that flows and mockups are prepared prior to development.
• Assisting Product Management with customer discovery, user interviews, and validation sessions—returning insights that enhance the backlog.
• Maintaining product documentation: PRDs (in conjunction with the PM), user stories, release notes, internal training materials, and post-launch updates.
• Supporting release activities, including UAT coordination, customer pilot management, and internal training for sales, implementation, and customer success teams.
• Tracking and reporting sprint and release metrics (velocity, throughput, defect rates, scope changes); identifying risks early on.
• Contributing to competitive and market awareness by reviewing customer feedback, support tickets, and field input, redirecting relevant signals to Product Management.
• Acting as a connector across product, engineering, QA, design, customer success, and implementation for the CCS product line.
• Utilizing AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, and specialized product/AI tools) to enhance product operations—drafting and refining user stories, synthesizing customer feedback, generating release notes and documentation, analyzing support and usage data, and expediting backlog grooming.
• Performing additional duties as assigned to fulfill the needs of the department and company.

• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 3-5 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or in a similar role on a software product team.
• Proven experience managing a product backlog in an Agile/Scrum setting—writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and collaborating with engineering through the delivery process.
• 2+ years of experience in healthcare technology, preferably in Care Coordination, Health Information Management, Release of Information, EHR/EMR, referral management, clinical workflow, or related areas.
• Practical experience with backlog and project management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or equivalent software.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong analytical skills—capable of breaking down complex problems into well-defined stories and utilizing data to influence prioritization.
• Excellent collaboration skills and a proven ability to work effectively with engineers, designers, QA, and product managers.
• Ability to gather requirements from internal business stakeholders and customers, translating them into clear, testable stories.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills, demonstrating strong documentation habits.
• Strong organizational abilities and exceptional attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-focused environment, including situations where products are developed from inception to completion.
• Capable of working independently as a self-starter while following guidance from Product Management.
• Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time, as necessary, for customer visits, discovery, and team collaboration.
