Senior Product Owner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Assumes responsibility for the team backlog (user stories) and decomposes features into user stories for one or multiple products/applications.

• Takes charge of extensive initiatives (epics/capabilities) and supports more intricate change initiatives.

• Gathers, identifies, documents, and refines requirements derived from business issues detailed in features into user stories and acceptance criteria, which may encompass technical requirements.

• Ensures that Non-Functional requirements are documented and included in the acceptance criteria of user stories.

• Prioritizes user stories in the product backlog (in collaboration with business stakeholders and the Product Manager) to guarantee that the items with the highest business value are prioritized and addressed by the delivery team.

• Communicates the product backlog clearly to business stakeholders to reflect their requirements accurately.

• Assists Product Managers in refining features.

• Leads and influences one or more cross-functional agile delivery teams to execute and fulfill product requirements.

• Collaborates closely with the delivery team on a daily basis to implement features/user stories.

• Participates and takes a leadership role in SAFe ceremonies, scrum meetings, sprint demos, retrospectives, and product sprints with the delivery team.

• Represents the “voice of the customer” at the delivery team level by ensuring the visibility and clarity of product backlog items.

• Maintains metrics related to the progress of the Team backlog and team deliverables.

• Oversees the quality of deliverables by managing defects.

• Defines and refines the delivery roadmap and dictates content for each release.

• Provides updates on project outcomes to clients or customers.

• Actively engages in release activities, ensuring that the necessary documentation is prepared.

• Identifies, records, and mitigates operational and technical risks proactively.

• Adheres to established standards and ensures that all relevant documentation is maintained in compliance with applicable regulatory guidelines and SOPs, keeping all relevant stakeholders informed.

• Champions the standard Product Owner practices and processes, ensuring compliance and supporting the definition of these standards.


⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive professional experience as a Product Owner or in a closely related role.

• Proven experience in coaching and training colleagues and peers.

• Background in medical imaging within clinical trials in the life sciences sector, along with being a subject matter expert in a specific area.

• Evidence of experience in regulated environments.

• Familiarity with product lifecycle management tools.

• Experience in process modeling using standards such as BPMN.

• Proficiency in scope management.

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical field (Mathematics, Science, Engineering, Computing, etc.) or equivalent project-related experience.

• Fluent in English.
