Senior Product Owner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Communicate the vision and roadmap for the Medicaid product to an Agile delivery team.

• Develop user stories and prioritize the product backlog effectively.

• Enhance the value of products delivered by the Agile team.

• Act as a liaison between Medicaid market stakeholders and the development team.

• Serve as the main point of contact for the Agile team regarding information, work prioritization, and decision-making.

• Oversee and prioritize the team's backlog for new state implementations, market migrations, and routine operations.

• Conduct weekly sessions to review the product backlog.

• Assess change requests, enhancements, and development items.

• Document business requirements comprehensively.

• Create functional stories and process flows.

• Ensure that designs meet business needs effectively.

• Present demonstrations and collect feedback from stakeholders.

• Assist with system integration testing by clarifying requirements.

• Coordinate user acceptance testing in conjunction with aligned partners.

• Organize business activities for system upgrades and patches.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience with the Systems Development Life Cycle, Waterfall, and/or Agile Development Methodologies.

• More than 5 years of experience in technology implementations and/or product/project management.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify viable solutions to meet business needs.

• Experience in facilitating stakeholder presentations and effectively communicating completed ideas and solutions.

• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and project management skills.

• Possess critical thinking abilities and the initiative to anticipate team needs, ask questions, and produce high-quality work.

• Capable of prioritizing and managing multiple tasks with overlapping deadlines.

• Experience in gathering market requirements.

• Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, meeting facilitation, negotiation, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.

• Preferred: Certified SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager or an equivalent Agile/Scrum certification.

• Preferred: Experience with Healthcare Care Management Applications and Configurations.

• Minimum internet connection of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload for home or hybrid home/office employees.

• A dedicated workspace free from interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information.

• Ability to work Monday to Friday during business hours, primarily in the Eastern Standard Time Zone.
