This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• You play a pivotal role in our comprehensive steering proposition, converting complex regulatory requirements into scalable, compliant, and user-friendly products that bridge regulation, product, hardware, and field operations.
• Serve as the Authority on Smart Metering & Steering Regulation: Be the primary contact point - both internally and externally - for regulatory updates such as §14a EnWG, §9 EEG, §21 EnWG, and §118 Abs. 6 EnWG.
• Analyze legal frameworks, VDE FNN requirements, BNetzA decisions, and BDEW Guidelines, while actively engaging with the industry to influence future regulations.
• Convert Regulation into Product Specifications: Establish and prioritize development needs for our engineering teams to guarantee that Heartbeat AI and connected hardware (e.g., §14a Steuerbox + Smart Meter) comply with all necessary standards for performance and compliance.
• Lead Hardware Strategy and Implementation: Oversee testing and lab capabilities, make critical hardware decisions, and facilitate the deployment of intelligent metering systems and Steuerboxen within our customer segments.
• Manage Collaborations with Service Providers and Market Partners: Cultivate relationships with external service providers, as well as DSOs and metering point operators, to ensure seamless cooperation and effective market communication processes.
• Oversee Cross-Functional Projects & Track Performance: Assume comprehensive project responsibility for steering initiatives, establish KPIs, assess target achievements, and devise optimization strategies based on data and field insights.
• Over 3 years of experience in the energy sector, specifically focusing on metering and steering.
• Strong project management abilities, effectively leading cross-functional initiatives among internal teams, network and metering point operators, as well as external service providers.
• Analytical and structured thinker, capable of defining KPIs and utilizing data to guide decisions.
• Entrepreneurial spirit, proactive, and adept at navigating uncertainty and regulatory changes.
• Excellent proficiency in both written and spoken German and English, with German being essential due to significant regulatory and partner interactions.
• Comprehensive understanding of §14a EnWG and the grid-oriented management of consumption and generation assets, along with the broader regulatory landscape (MsbG, §9 EEG, §21 EnWG, §118 Abs. 6 EnWG).
• Familiarity with applicable technical standards and guidelines, as well as Marktkommunikationsprozesse and smart metering infrastructure.
• Experience in coordinating hardware testing, lab configurations, or certification processes (e.g., for §14a Steuerboxen) is considered a strong advantage.
