This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Establish the vision and strategic roadmap for a comprehensive reporting system that encompasses in-app report creation, dashboards, scheduled deliveries, exports, APIs/connectors, embedded partner interfaces, and AI/agent interactions.
• Convert the reporting requirements of payroll, finance, HR, executive, manager, internal operator, and partner/builder stakeholders into product priorities.
• Take ownership of payroll-grade reporting features, which include standard reports, customizable report creation, GL/journal exports, variance analysis, reconciliation, definitions, permissions, lineage, auditability, and observability.
• Discover opportunities for AI applications, anomaly detection, driver analysis, and proactive recommendations while ensuring that outputs are explainable, source-validated, and compliant.
• Collaborate with Data, Engineering, Design, Security, Legal, Sales, CX, Finance, Operations, and external partners to create scalable reporting solutions.
• Set and track KPIs related to adoption, engagement, trust, report accuracy, distribution usage, retention, expansion, and internal utilization.
• Continuously enhance the product based on customer feedback and data analysis.
• Report directly to a Senior Group Product Manager and engage in daily collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Proven senior-level experience as a Product Manager with a focus on reporting, analytics, data platforms, workflow, or insight products.
• Proficiency in Cursor and/or Claude Code is essential.
• Capable of independently developing, debugging, and deploying functional code and prototypes.
• Practical knowledge of data schemas, query patterns, analytics coding, and AI-assisted workflows.
• Strong end-to-end data literacy encompassing models/schemas, lineage, and report generation.
• Understanding of grain, joins, aggregations, double-counting, currencies, time zones, effective dating, and late-arriving data.
• Ability to read and write SQL to validate outcomes and resolve discrepancies.
• Capacity to ensure metrics are well-defined, reconciled, and reliable.
• Ability to collaborate with Data and Engineering on definition and modeling challenges.
• Strong customer orientation and empathy for user workflows.
• Excellent skills in stakeholder management and cross-functional alignment.
• Strong UX sensibilities related to data, reporting, and insights workflows.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Business-level proficiency in both written and spoken English.
• Experience in HR Tech, payroll, finance, compliance, or B2B SaaS products is a plus.
