This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take ownership of and continuously refine the multi-quarter product roadmap for KYC fraud and risk solutions, ensuring a balance between customer urgency, business value, and technical feasibility.
• Establish a product vision that aligns with Trulioo's broader platform strategy, contributing to both internal roadmap communications and discussions with external partners and customers.
• Perform in-depth market assessments and competitive analyses to guide recommendations for build, partner, or buy strategies, providing a clear rationale for each decision.
• Identify and capitalize on emerging opportunities in consumer identity fraud, KYC compliance, and risk decisioning, proposing new product initiatives that could significantly broaden Trulioo's addressable market.
• Act as the primary advocate for the customer by consistently conducting discovery interviews with enterprise clients across financial services, fintech, payments, and regulated sectors.
• Gather and analyze qualitative and quantitative feedback to reveal unmet needs, validate assumptions, and guide prioritization processes.
• Collaborate with Sales and Business Development to engage potential clients early in the sales cycle, representing the product and collecting insights on market demands.
• Track product performance metrics, client feedback mechanisms, and support escalations to foster ongoing improvements after launch.
• Lead cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Data Science, Design, Legal, and Compliance, to deliver fraud and risk capabilities on schedule using agile methodologies.
• Work closely with machine learning and data science teams to identify predictive indicators, assess model performance, define feedback mechanisms, and provide understandable risk scores that enhance user adoption.
• Break down complex product challenges into manageable delivery milestones, transparently managing trade-offs with stakeholders.
• Clearly communicate the product vision, updates to the roadmap, and strategic adjustments to various audiences, including executive leadership and external clients.
• Over 8 years of product management experience, with a substantial focus on KYC, identity verification, fraud detection, or risk decisioning within FinTech, RegTech, Payments, or Financial Services.
• Extensive domain knowledge in KYC fraud, including synthetic identity fraud, document fraud, account takeover, and consumer onboarding risk, along with a solid understanding of how these differ from KYB risk and compliance workflows.
• Practical experience collaborating with machine learning and data science teams, including defining model requirements, interpreting outputs, managing feedback loops, and translating insights into product features.
• Demonstrated success in managing a product roadmap from inception to completion, delivering impactful products in agile settings, and influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; adept at structuring ambiguous challenges, making defendable recommendations, and breaking them into actionable increments.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of simplifying complex technical or regulatory subjects into clear narratives for diverse audiences.
• Experience collaborating with third-party data providers, such as credit bureaus, identity data networks, or risk data vendors.
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
