Senior Product Manager, Infrastructure Observability

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sweden.

📋 Description

• Convert concepts and feedback into a clear product vision and roadmap.

• Understand customer challenges to gather user needs, requirements, and pain points.

• Effectively communicate user feedback to the Engineering team while providing data to support tradeoffs and priorities.

• Collaborate closely with PMM to facilitate go-to-market efforts on product differentiation, including creating and refreshing presentations, documentation, website content, datasheets, and whitepapers.

• Leverage your extensive product knowledge to make informed decisions regarding our go-to-market strategies, pricing, packaging, licensing, and tiering.

• As the Senior Product Manager for Infrastructure Observability (Infra O11y), you will oversee our most sought-after Grafana Cloud products, which include Kubernetes Monitoring and Cloud Provider Observability.

• Assist in defining the vision and ensuring the long-term success of Infra O11y, collaborating with engineering partners to refine product strategy.

• Outline the future for new product initiatives—such as Host Monitoring—while maintaining a robust roadmap and high customer satisfaction for our established products.

• Conduct extensive customer discovery to understand user needs, fostering consensus and alignment across various Engineering groups and stakeholders.

• Utilize your go-to-market skills to develop confidence in areas like competitive analysis and sales enablement to enhance activities such as pricing and packaging.

• Ensure that the experiences you create are seamlessly integrated within our overall Grafana Cloud suite, by establishing integration points with other critical offerings like Grafana Cloud Knowledge Graph and Grafana Assistant.


⛳️ Requirements

• A BS/BA in Computer Science, a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 7 years of experience in Product Management.

• More than 5 years of experience in a B2B SaaS environment.

• Experience in utilizing or developing developer-facing tools, APIs, or platform services.

• Capability to discuss APIs, data models, schema evolution, and concepts of distributed systems.

• Proven experience in promoting the adoption of shared services or platform capabilities among multiple product teams.

• Demonstrated experience in collaborating with Engineering and Design teams to create exceptional products and features with strong user experience in a fast-paced setting.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to persuade cross-functional stakeholders.

• Bonus Points:

• Familiarity with open-source software and/or commercial open-source companies.

• Experience using or creating observability products and/or developer tools, whether internally as an SRE or for external clients.

• Strong understanding of infrastructure concepts and components—such as Kubernetes, Cloud Service Providers, and VMs—and the ability to explain these models in accessible terms.

• Experience with AI tools.
