
Senior Product Manager – Hybrid IT Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Take ownership of the product roadmap for the Universal Automation Center (UAC), transforming market opportunities and customer insights into prioritized initiatives in Workload Automation, Cloud and Data Pipeline Automation, and real-time orchestration.
• Contribute to the strategic product plan, which includes product positioning, assessing competitive strengths and weaknesses, and identifying areas for portfolio evolution.
• Evaluate competitive dynamics and analyze win/loss trends to refine product direction and enhance go-to-market messaging.
• Identify opportunities for AI to generate new capabilities for UAC, moving beyond merely accelerating existing plans.
• Collaborate with an engineering team that employs AI coding assistants to define, specify, and develop new solutions, translating the product vision into actionable requirements for those teams.
• Lead the introduction of new UAC features and the market rollout of new versions, encompassing both SaaS and private cloud implementations.
• Define and prioritize product requirements within Agile development cycles, collecting input from customers, key stakeholders, and subject matter experts (SMEs).
• Present UAC product strategy directly to customers in various settings, including small groups, conferences, and Stonebranch webinars.
• Collaborate with sales, pre-sales, marketing, services, and support to ensure alignment between product direction and go-to-market execution.
• Articulate the business value of the UAC portfolio to a diverse audience, including executives and hands-on users.
• Navigate complex customer situations and escalations, leveraging product expertise to address high-stakes issues.
• A Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 10-15 years of professional experience in product management or a closely related field.
• Over 5 years of experience specifically in Workload Automation (WLA) or relevant enterprise IT automation areas, either in a Product Management role or a related function such as Sales or Services.
• Direct experience with Workload Automation, Job Scheduling, or Service Orchestration & Automation Platforms (SOAP); familiarity with Managed File Transfer (MFT) is advantageous given the comprehensive nature of the Stonebranch platform.
• Experience with SaaS and private/hybrid cloud delivery models, including subscription-based licensing.
• Familiarity with integrating AI/GenAI capabilities into a product offering, and experience collaborating with engineering teams that utilize AI-assisted development tools to define and create new features.
• Proficient understanding of Agile development methodologies and core product management practices, including requirements definition, user stories, acceptance criteria, and PRDs.
• Comfortable using product analytics and usage/telemetry data to guide roadmap and licensing strategies.
• Knowledge of data privacy and compliance frameworks such as GDPR is a plus, given the collaboration with EU-based teams, partners, and clients.
