Senior Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and lead all facets of an established agile team, which includes backlog grooming, triage, prioritization, and cross-functional coordination.

• Define the scope for new product features and continuous improvements across web, mobile, and desktop applications.

• Create and prioritize user stories, while also establishing acceptance criteria.

• Build and sustain a high level of credibility with both internal and external partners.

• Deconstruct complex issues and leverage data analytics, alongside comprehensive user research, to guide product direction.

• Monitor progress, evaluate risks, coordinate delivery, and proactively communicate contingency and mitigation plans for the team.

• Conduct various ad-hoc research and business analyses to identify opportunities and risks.

• Take responsibility for recognizing and addressing intricate product challenges that align with both short-term objectives and long-term strategic plans.

• Utilize system-analyst techniques and procedures, including consulting with users to define hardware, software, or systems functional specifications.

• In the first week, you can expect to: Onboard and integrate into Toptal, while independently beginning to familiarize yourself with the Toptal product suite.

• Become familiar with your product area, the product objectives, and the partners you will collaborate with.

• In the first month, you can expect to: Collaborate cross-functionally with Designers, Engineers, and senior stakeholders to organize and prioritize your high-level roadmap and backlog.

• Begin working closely with your development team.

• Assume responsibility for all in-flight and planned initiatives.

• In the first three months, you can expect to: Fully support a product category, working collaboratively to finalize quarterly planning and set OKRs.

• While applying discretion and independent judgment, launch features that have a significant business impact.

• Be fully integrated into and take ownership of a development team.

• Track and measure the success of your initiatives against company objectives.

• Continuously enhance the team’s processes through valuable contributions.

• In the first six months, you can expect to: Drive the end-to-end delivery of our mobile and desktop applications, ensuring feature parity, high-quality user experience, and alignment with the web platform roadmap.

• Independently identify new product opportunities for your backlog.

• Develop a repeatable model for executing our roadmap initiatives.

• Collaborate across the Product team to assess and refine the roadmap, backlog, and processes for ongoing improvements.

• Consistently re-evaluate your roadmap’s alignment with the strategic goals of the business, making adjustments as needed.

• In the first year, you can expect to: Fulfill your roadmap priorities and commitments.

• Ensure your team maintains an exceptional record of delivering impactful products in a timely and effective manner.

• Collaborate cross-functionally to scale your team to meet the evolving needs of our business and users.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree is mandatory, preferably in a technical field.

• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in software product management.

• Proven capability to lead products from inception through to launch, iteration, and scaling, even in ambiguous situations.

• Experience in B2B SaaS, ideally with exposure to HR tech, data-heavy, or compliance-heavy products.

• Familiarity with AI product development processes.

• Experience with third-party system integrations is advantageous.

• Comfortable analyzing data using SQL or spreadsheets, as well as conducting research with both internal and external users.

• Strong expertise in utilizing data for decision-making with various tools and methodologies for gathering and synthesizing information.

• Ability to creatively formulate solutions through data and a customer-centric perspective.

• Capable of creating wireframes and mockups, with a focus on simplicity.

• Detail-oriented with a high standard for quality when writing user stories, reviewing designs, brainstorming technical approaches, and testing features prior to release.

• Humble, eager to learn, and willing to do whatever it takes to achieve our goals.

• Experience with agile development methodologies in globally distributed teams and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced global company.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to navigate a fast-paced, rapidly growing company and manage a wide range of challenges, deadlines, and diverse contacts.
