This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Transform business and customer requirements into viable, delivered products, collaborating closely with the ML and forecasting teams to make informed decisions.

• Take ownership of the technical product specifics, establishing clear success metrics for model or forecast performance, while considering edge cases and the operational realities of a system that carries live financial risks.

• Propel open product decisions to completion, ensuring that delivery progresses efficiently, with a defined Now, Next, and Future for the initiatives you manage.

• Guide initiatives from the discovery phase to regular product releases, maintaining a clear vision of Now, Next, and Future for a specific area.

• Determine what should be formalized, what remains a prototype, and what should be discarded - act as both the editor and creator, rather than just the initiator.

• Collaborate within full-stack teams that encompass ML/data science and software engineers, staying close to the models to make informed decisions.

• Analyze and interrogate your own and others' data to impact and guide decisions, while reasoning about model performance and errors as business indicators.

• Identify the most significant and tangible problems worth addressing, such as whether to develop or acquire a new forecasting capability, or ensuring that Rosso can respond effectively to any events within the system.

⛳️ Requirements

• A technically proficient, ML-savvy product manager with experience embedded in full-stack teams that include ML and data science professionals (MLEs, MLOps, DEs, and DAs).

• Proven track record of owning at least one complex product area from start to finish, demonstrating the ability to drive real business outcomes beyond merely delivering features.

• Utilizes data analysis throughout the product lifecycle to validate concepts, advance work, and assess success.

• Experienced in building products within a startup, scaleup, or other high-growth environments, with significant personal accountability for a specific area.

• Possesses a keen understanding of potential failure points, edge cases, and the operational realities of a live system.

• AI-native, AI-literate, and critically aware of AI - understands its advantages and disadvantages.

• An articulate and structured communicator, particularly in written form.

• Bonus points: Experience in energy, fintech, or other sectors where ML is essential, and/or where forecasting or managing a two-sided marketplace is central to the product.

• Familiarity with transitions involving third-party access and/or international expansion.

• Background in regulated industries and data-intensive products.
