• Take ownership of the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for a significant product area, which may encompass fuel cost optimization, fleet efficiency, energy management, or operational cost intelligence.
• Convert Samsara's operational data (including telematics, fuel consumption, idling, routing, and vehicle health) into products that assist customers in minimizing costs and enhancing fleet performance.
• Conduct in-depth discovery sessions with stakeholders who face these challenges: fleet owners, fuel managers, operations leaders, and finance teams.
• Independently prototype and design MVPs - including clickable flows, working demos, and rough cuts, often utilizing AI assistance - to test concepts with customers prior to committing engineering resources.
• Deliver comprehensive end-to-end experiences alongside design, engineering, and data science teams - from backend pipelines and partner integrations to the dashboards and mobile interfaces utilized by customers daily.
• Establish success metrics, create business cases for new initiatives, and promote a continuous cycle of experimentation and iteration based on data and customer feedback.
• Advocate for, exemplify, and integrate Samsara’s cultural principles as we expand globally and open new offices.

• Proficient in data analysis: you can identify necessary data, establish measurement methods for unmeasured aspects, define critical KPIs, and collaborate effectively with data science teams.
• Strong instincts for customer research, with a tendency to translate insights into actionable strategies that lead to product launches.
• Exceptional communication abilities; capable of aligning cross-functional stakeholders (engineering, marketing, legal, GTM) and articulating complex trade-offs to diverse audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience in launching products that involve partnerships, integrations, or external data - working with ecosystems beyond your own engineering team.
• Domain expertise in one or more areas: fuel/energy, fleet management, fintech/payments, logistics, or electric vehicles.
