This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete product lifecycle for Automatix, encompassing roadmap definition, prioritization, specification, release planning, and post-launch evaluation, in collaboration with the Head of Product Development and engineering leadership.

• Spearhead the development of comprehensive product specifications, technical requirements, and user stories that connect legacy system behaviors with future-state architecture, utilizing AI tools to expedite discovery and minimize specification cycle duration.

• Implement AI-enhanced product workflows systematically and transparently, including using tools like Claude to analyze existing code, process screenshots and screen flows, clarify undocumented business logic, and create specification artifacts that engineering can utilize with minimal rework.

• Set and uphold the operational framework for AI application throughout the product organization, which includes tool selection, prompt and context standards, human review checkpoints, and compensating controls for scenarios where AI output may be inappropriate or poses heightened risks.

• Manage the product aspect of an Agile and DevOps software development practice for a SaaS platform, covering backlog grooming, sprint planning, release management, definition of done, and maintaining continuous delivery discipline in partnership with engineering and quality teams.

• Convert the operational realities of healthcare payer and provider administrative IT into product requirements, focusing on claims data ingestion, normalization, validation, reconciliation, and downstream analytics consumption.

• Collaborate with data operations and client success teams to transform recurring client challenges, integration patterns, and exception workflows into product features that decrease manual efforts and enhance data quality on a large scale.

• Define and monitor product KPIs that are crucial for a B2B healthcare SaaS enterprise, such as time-to-onboard, data quality metrics, throughput, exception rates, client retention factors, and gross margin contributions from automation.

• Act as the product representative in client-facing discussions with stakeholders from payers and providers, including data executives, claims operations leaders, and analytics teams, systematically capturing feedback to inform roadmap strategies.

• Partner with HDI’s information security and compliance teams to guarantee that AI tools, third-party services, and product features comply with HIPAA, HITRUST, and specific client data handling requirements, ensuring that compensating controls are documented and tested.

• Work alongside sales, marketing, and pricing teams on go-to-market preparations for new releases, including positioning, enablement materials, packaging, and pricing strategies grounded in the value delivered to payers and providers.

• Mentor product analysts and junior product managers as the team grows, and contribute to the overarching product operating model at HDI as the company broadens its platform presence.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree is required; a technical, analytics, or business graduate degree is a plus.

• 8–12 years of progressive product management experience in B2B SaaS, with significant experience in healthcare administrative IT, claims data, or healthcare analytics platforms serving payers, providers, or risk-bearing entities.

• Proven ownership of one or more SaaS products throughout their entire lifecycle, including discovery, specification, build, launch, and iteration, with measurable outcomes linked to product performance and client value.

• Practical experience with AI tools for product tasks, including using large language models like Claude to analyze legacy codebases, interpret screen captures, reconstruct undocumented behaviors, and produce specification documents in collaboration with engineering.

• A clear understanding of the capabilities and limitations of current AI tools in product management contexts, including potential failure modes, hallucination risks, data handling considerations, and the necessary compensating controls when AI is utilized in workflows involving PHI or claims data.

• Strong working knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies for SaaS development, including backlog management, sprint cycles, release engineering, CI/CD, observability, and the collaboration between product and engineering that is essential for effective practices.

• Extensive familiarity with healthcare administrative data, such as claims, eligibility, provider, and remittance data, along with the standards, vendors, and workflows that govern the movement of this data among payers, providers, and intermediaries.

• A particular interest and demonstrated experience in working with claims data and analytics use cases, encompassing data quality, normalization, reconciliation, exception handling, and downstream reporting and decision support.

• Experience crafting high-quality product specifications, PRDs, and technical requirements that engineering teams can execute against with minimal ambiguity, especially for products that integrate with or replace legacy systems.

• Comfort in operating within a PE-backed environment with sponsor reporting expectations, value creation timelines, and a strong focus on measurable progress.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration across engineering, data operations, client success, commercial, and executive stakeholders.

• A hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset with a propensity for action and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
