Senior Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Define and document comprehensive product requirements, detailing how APIs integrate with banking systems and various third-party financial service providers, translating business and regulatory needs into precise technical specifications for the engineering team;

• Oversee the complete development lifecycle — from gathering requirements to delivery, monitoring progress against the roadmap, and following up on each development phase to ensure milestones are achieved;

• Act as the main liaison among engineering, business, and client-side stakeholders, proactively managing expectations, priorities, and timelines for all parties involved;

• Align engineering, compliance, legal, and business teams around a unified roadmap, addressing conflicts and removing dependencies as they emerge;

• Manage the product backlog, craft clear user stories and acceptance criteria, and facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives);

• Identify risks and bottlenecks early on, proposing and driving contingency plans to keep the project aligned with timelines;

• Serve as Hamsa's product and delivery lead in Mexico, establishing the groundwork to assume broader regional operational responsibilities as the project expands.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, project management, or a combination of both, preferably within the fintech, payments, or financial infrastructure sectors;

• Demonstrated expertise in specifying and delivering products that involve integrations, particularly with banks or other financial service providers;

• Proven ability to manage a project from start to finish, including tracking progress against milestones and effectively managing stakeholder expectations;

• Practical experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence, or similar);

• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the capability to coordinate technical, business, and regulatory stakeholders simultaneously;

• Proficient in both Spanish and English, in written and spoken forms;

• Comfortable interpreting and specifying API documentation (REST/webhooks), authentication flows, and data schemas sufficiently to create clear requirements for engineers;

• Understanding of banking integration patterns, core banking APIs, payment rails, and settlement processes;

• Proficient in product and project management tools (Jira, Notion, Figma, or similar).

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
