Senior Product Manager – API, Data, Developer Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Take charge of product strategy and ownership: Establish the product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle for a new range of data platforms and APIs, focusing on versioning, scalability, maintainability, SLAs, and well-defined success metrics.

• API design centered around customers: Consider developers and integration partners as primary clients by identifying target consumers, use cases, API contracts, data schemas, and integration patterns that emphasize usability and extensibility.

• Collaboration and execution: Work closely with engineering, data, marketing, and commercial teams to prioritize trade-offs, overcome obstacles to delivery, support go-to-market strategies, and convey the product vision to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Quality assurance, governance, and continuous improvement (AI): Ensure the platform's reliability, performance, security, and compliance while continually enhancing it through feedback, usage metrics, and AI-driven research and development workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in a product management role or similar, with a proven track record of delivering data products in collaboration with engineering teams.

• Proven experience in leading product initiatives encompassing strategy, prioritization, and delivery.

• Previous experience in building and managing platform, data, or API products.

• In-depth understanding of data systems, including data pipelines, data modeling, and concepts related to distributed systems.

• Familiarity with API design (e.g., REST), data integration patterns, and system interoperability.

• Ability to effectively collaborate with engineering and data teams on technical product decisions and discussions at the architecture level.

• Experience in regulated or risk-sensitive sectors, ideally in fintech.

• Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and experience contributing to data-intensive or AI-driven products.

• Capability to evaluate and make decisions regarding system and product trade-offs (e.g., latency vs consistency, batch vs real-time processing).
