This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Take ownership of AI product domains within Tango's intelligence framework: determine what to develop, establish acceptance criteria including accuracy benchmarks and human-in-the-loop requirements, and collaborate with the AI Engineering team to deliver features.
• Collaborate with AI Engineering as an equal partner. Build trust through sound product judgment and evaluation metrics.
• Create trust surfaces for enterprise clients: you will be responsible for decisions regarding confidence disclosure, citation standards, audit trails, and explainability.
• Conduct discovery sessions with enterprise clients through design partner discussions, analysis of usage data, and monitoring the competitive landscape.
• Articulate the value of AI investments in terms of customer outcomes: impact on retention, indicators for expansion, and time-to-value.
• Establish enterprise-grade AI guardrails: set confidence thresholds, latency requirements, and human-in-the-loop triggers that meet compliance needs for customers.
• Continuously enhance organizational and engineering practices to foster the growth of the Tango intelligence layer.
• Over 5 years of experience in product management, with successfully launched and validated AI or ML features in a B2B SaaS context.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with AI Engineering as a peer, gaining technical credibility through product insights; possesses a solid understanding of model behavior to formulate meaningful acceptance criteria and constraints.
• Proven history of defining "ready to ship" status prior to Engineering commencing development.
• Comfortable working in a team where a director defines the platform strategy while you handle complete product area decisions and execution.
• Proficient in LLM-specific product methodologies: RAG, evaluation frameworks, prompt versioning, latency/cost trade-offs, and human-in-the-loop design.
• Experience in designing enterprise trust surfaces: confidence disclosure, citation standards, explainability, and audit trails for compliance-focused users.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
