This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Define and manage the technology product roadmap for claims, ensuring a balance between immediate feature delivery and long-term innovation, in collaboration with the product team, stakeholders, and engineering.
• Lead discovery initiatives by analyzing data, performing user research, and pinpointing the most significant challenges faced by adjusters and customers, then convert insights into prioritized product strategies.
• Oversee the full delivery process with your dedicated engineering team, from sharing the roadmap and writing user stories to sizing, building, and launching products.
• Take responsibility for the rollout and adoption of new features, which includes stakeholder communication, training, and managing change throughout claims operations.
• Establish, monitor, and advocate for the KPIs that indicate product success, leveraging performance data to refine your roadmap continuously.
• Inspire and connect your development team to Kin's overall mission, ensuring that daily tasks align with impactful customer and business results.
• A minimum of 3 years in software or technology product management, with experience overseeing a roadmap and delivering projects alongside an engineering team.
• Proven experience in agile settings within a startup or rapidly growing company, with the capacity to adapt quickly, prioritize effectively, and bring clarity to ambiguous situations.
• A demonstrated ability to utilize data for decision-making, including practical experience with BI or analytics tools like Tableau, Looker, or Adobe Analytics.
• Experience in conducting or closely collaborating on user research, translating customer insights into product specifications and roadmap priorities.
• A history of clearly communicating intricate product plans to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, both in writing and verbally.
• Total professional experience of 6–8 years.
• Bonus points for:
• Background in insurance, insurtech, or claims operations.
• Familiarity with design thinking, innovation methodologies, or formal user research.
• Experience with data tools such as Looker, Databricks, and Fullstory.
