Senior Product Manager, AI & Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the vision, strategy, and execution for significant AI and analytics projects across the Avigilon platform.

• Establish product vision, desired outcomes, discovery practices, and multi-quarter roadmaps for scalable AI functionalities.

• Collaborate with AI research and engineering teams on model accuracy, inference latency, compute-to-serve expenses, infrastructure scaling, and edge-versus-cloud deployment.

• Convert advanced AI capabilities into well-defined problem statements and user-friendly operator experiences.

• Conduct customer interviews, observe security workflows, analyze usage data, and synthesize the insights gathered.

• Partner with VMS, Access Control, Appliances, and Devices Product Management teams to create cohesive platform experiences.

• Develop measurement frameworks to track adoption, field accuracy, inference reliability, user engagement, and business impact.

• Leverage data to validate hypotheses, improve models, and guide future investments.

• Collaborate with Sales, Support, Training, and Product Marketing for product launches, feedback loops, and customer enablement.

• Craft technical value propositions, address field inquiries, and align stakeholders with AI priorities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.

• Over 5 years of Product Management experience delivering software, cloud, or enterprise solutions.

• Proven track record of delivering AI/ML-driven products or capabilities at production scale.

• In-depth knowledge of computer vision, deep learning, LLMs/VLMs, and analytics workflows.

• Technical proficiency in model deployment, optimization, latency trade-offs, and cost-to-serve at scale.

• Experience in conducting customer discovery and field interviews.

• Capability to translate qualitative and quantitative insights into product strategy and precise requirements.

• Ability to visualize large-scale edge-to-cloud AI implementations.

• Familiarity with local hardware, cloud/on-premise compute costs, bandwidth limitations, and system load.

• Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in aligning engineering, hardware, and marketing teams without direct authority.

• Experience with VLMs, RAG, MCP, or multi-step AI agents is a plus.

• Ability to quickly develop AI-generated prototypes.

• Previous experience deploying computer vision models or video analytics at scale within physical security, VMS, or IoT/hardware environments is advantageous.

• Familiarity with cloud and on-premise hybrid architectures or edge-to-cloud model distribution strategies is a bonus.
