Senior Product Engineer – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Utilize AI-assisted development methodologies to swiftly prototype, validate, and deploy production-ready solutions.

• Discover opportunities within the organization where software, automation, data, or AI can have a significant impact on operations, products, or revenue.

• Take ownership of solutions from inception to completion—covering discovery, scoping, architecture, implementation, deployment, measurement, and ongoing refinement.

• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand challenges, articulate solutions, discuss trade-offs, and assess results.

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications, backend services, automations, and internal tools that enhance business value.

• Contribute to architectural decisions, technical strategies, and the long-term evolution of the platform.

• Engage directly with cloud infrastructure and edge platforms, such as AWS and Cloudflare.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance system reliability, observability, performance, and operational excellence.

• Conduct thorough code reviews, uphold high engineering standards, and provide mentorship to fellow engineers.

• Continuously assess new technologies, AI capabilities, and development practices that can boost team efficacy and engineering leverage.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven ability to transition from ambiguous business challenges to deployed solutions, working directly with stakeholders throughout the stages of discovery, delivery, and measurement.

• Demonstrated success in independently delivering complex software systems and achieving business outcomes with minimal supervision.

• Strong decision-making skills in evaluating build-vs-buy scenarios and recognizing opportunities to utilize existing platforms, automation, and AI prior to developing custom solutions.

• Proven capability to effectively use AI-assisted development tools in production settings while upholding high standards for quality, security, performance, and maintainability.

• Strong systems thinking and architectural insight to validate, refine, and expand upon AI-generated solutions.

• Experience in building and maintaining production web applications.

• Comfortable working within contemporary application frameworks (e.g., Laravel or similar).

• Experience in designing and implementing experimentation and A/B testing frameworks (e.g., PostHog or similar tools).

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Cloudflare, or similar platforms).

• Solid experience with relational databases, including writing and optimizing queries both within and outside of ORMs.

• Proficient in Git-based development workflows, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment practices.

• Strong communication abilities and the capacity to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a globally distributed organization.

• Highly self-driven, autonomous, and comfortable operating in a remote-first environment while managing priorities and consistently delivering results.
