Senior Product Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the end-to-end development of new products and features – from identifying problems to launching and iterating on solutions.

• Determine what needs to be built, the rationale behind it, and how to evaluate its success – and see the process through to completion.

• Engage directly with users, support teams, and data to grasp actual issues rather than assumptions.

• Conduct experiments, set metrics, and discontinue initiatives that are ineffective.

• Collaborate closely with engineering teams – comprehend architectural trade-offs, review technical solutions, and facilitate decision-making.

• Rapidly prototype and validate concepts using AI tools (Claude, Cursor, Copilot, agents), scripts, no-code solutions, or any method that yields quick results.

• Identify opportunities where AI and LLMs can deliver tangible product value – and advocate for these initiatives.

• Compose product specifications and briefs that engineers find engaging – clear, precise, and assertive.

• Maintain a hands-on approach: craft queries, analyze data pipelines, create prototypes, and submit pull requests when appropriate.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience in product management, product engineering, or a related role with substantial technical involvement.

• Proficient in at least one programming language to the extent that you can create solutions independently (Python or similar).

• Familiarity with git, databases, and the assessment of system architecture.

• Demonstrated success in transforming ideas from conception to live product with actual users.

• AI-native mindset – you actively use LLMs, vibe coding, and AI agents on a daily basis to accelerate progress and validate concepts.

• Strong analytical abilities – adept at working with data, metrics, and making decisions in uncertain situations.

• Excellent communication skills in English – capable of conveying technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders and drafting specifications that engineers respect.

• Self-motivated – you proactively identify what is important without needing direction.

• Preferred: Experience in fintech or regulated sectors.

• Background in early-stage startups.

• Practical experience with LLM orchestration or prompt engineering.

• Background in product analytics, software engineering, or quality assurance.
