Senior Product Engineer, Agent Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop and deploy specialized agents within the Aedeon fleet, including parsers, business-rule extractors, dependency mappers, test synthesizers, behavior replayers, and the orchestration that connects these components.

• Take full ownership of the delivery process for assigned agents, from initial prototype to deployment and subsequent post-release validation.

• Engage in test-driven development by creating tests for the agent's contract, governance constraints, and equivalence checks prior to writing the agent code that fulfills these requirements.

• Produce clear, maintainable Python code with comprehensive documentation. Conduct thorough reviews of pull requests and offer constructive feedback.

• Maintain documentation for agent contracts, prompt structures, decision logic, and verification methodologies in Confluence or a similar platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Python with a minimum of 4 years of production experience, including async programming (asyncio), performance optimization, and writing idiomatic code.

• Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts, such as state machines, retries, idempotency, and eventual consistency.

• Hands-on experience with integrating LLM APIs (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI, or similar) in production environments, including streaming, function calling, structured output, retries, and prompt management.

• Familiarity with FastAPI or equivalent asynchronous web frameworks.

• Working knowledge of various AWS services, including EKS, ECS Fargate, S3, DynamoDB, Lambda, Secrets Manager, and CloudWatch.

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including writing Dockerfiles, Helm charts, and Kubernetes manifests.

• Comfortable working with CI/CD pipelines, with a preference for GitHub Actions.

• Proficient in navigating multi-account AWS environments (development, UAT, production).

• Committed to test-driven development principles, emphasizing writing tests before the implementation of code.

• Practical experience with pytest, integration testing, and end-to-end testing.

• Capable of designing behavior-verification harnesses, including dual-run, output comparison, and equivalence proof methodologies.

• Familiarity with utilizing AI tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot, LLM-based test generators) to enhance the quality of test cases.

• Experience in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

• Adhere to test-first, release-disciplined, and ownership-driven principles.

• Strong proficiency in written and spoken English, suitable for participation in product reviews and customer-impacting design discussions.

• Available to work during US business hours with overlap from India.
