Senior Product Designer, UX

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nigeria.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement design strategies that are in line with business goals and user requirements.

• Oversee the complete design process, encompassing discovery, research, wireframing, prototyping, and the final execution of UI.

• Perform in-depth user research, usability testing, and A/B testing to validate and enhance design solutions.

• Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to guarantee smooth execution of designs.

• Create scalable UI components and contribute to the ongoing development of our design system.

• Champion accessibility (A11y) and inclusive design principles, ensuring our products cater to a diverse user demographic.

• Develop and refine micro-interactions and motion elements to boost user engagement and usability.

• Utilize data-driven insights for the continuous enhancement of user experience and to optimize for business outcomes.

• Mentor and support junior designers, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

• Keep abreast of fintech trends and best practices to stimulate product innovation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in a senior product design role, emphasizing UX and showcasing the ability to lead significant projects.

• Expertise in visual design, typography, grids, layouts, and color theory.

• Proficiency in interaction design, information architecture, and user flow creation.

• In-depth knowledge of designing for both mobile and web platforms, ensuring responsive and adaptable experiences.

• Strong understanding of behavioral psychology and its impact on user decision-making.

• Extensive background in conducting usability testing, user interviews, and heuristic evaluations.

• Capability to integrate qualitative and quantitative insights into influential design decisions.

• Familiar with UX analytics tools (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Hotjar, etc.).

• Skilled in atomic design principles and the construction of scalable UI frameworks.

• Strong command of motion design tools (Lottie, After Effects, Principle) to craft dynamic user experiences.

• Experience in mentoring and guiding junior designers.

• Ability to clearly communicate design rationale and sway stakeholders across different teams.

• Comfortable functioning within agile and fast-paced product teams.

• Mastery of Figma, with extensive experience in auto layout, design tokens, component variants, interactive prototypes, and scalable design libraries.

• Proven background in fintech and/or SaaS environments, with a solid understanding of industry challenges and user behaviors.
