This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Oversee the complete design process for key product initiatives within an AI-driven product development lifecycle.
• Convert user requirements, business objectives, and product specifications into experience frameworks, wireframes, high-fidelity prototypes, and designs ready for production.
• Collaborate with teams from Product, Engineering, Delivery, Enablement, Research, and Content.
• Direct AI-assisted product design processes and provide oversight for human-centered design.
• Refine design concepts and AI-generated outputs to ensure intuitiveness, accessibility, scalability, and uniformity.
• Manage and enhance the design system.
• Ensure that UI components and interaction patterns are reusable and can be implemented across various products and workflows.
• Advocate for WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.
• Discover design opportunities, clarify vague requirements, and identify risks early in the process.
• Work alongside Product Managers to shape product strategy and collaborate with Engineering on design fidelity and technical feasibility.
• Partner with Research to pinpoint gaps, validate solutions, and convert insights into product decisions.
• Set quality standards for AI-generated user experiences.
• Facilitate design critiques and define quality benchmarks.
• Mentor team members on both human-centered and AI-assisted design approaches.
• Promote responsible collaboration between human creativity, design skill, and AI capabilities.
• Must reside in one of the 50 states of the United States or the District of Columbia.
• Must present proof of U.S. citizenship at the time of hiring.
• Practical experience with Claude, Claude Design, Figma Make, Figma Design Agent, or comparable AI tools in daily design tasks.
• Proven experience in designing and delivering product experiences for both web and mobile platforms.
• Strong design judgment, execution excellence, and proficiency in AI-native workflows.
• Comprehensive understanding of user-centered design, information architecture, interaction design, and typography.
• Experience in motion design or micro-interactions.
• Experience in developing and scaling design systems.
• Knowledge of design-system governance and design-to-development handoff processes.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma, including variables, auto-layout, advanced prototyping, and managing complex component libraries.
• Basic knowledge of front-end development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and React.
• Exceptional written and visual communication abilities.
• Capability to manage various priorities and project tasks in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
• Background checks and other role-specific screenings may be necessary.
• Must hold work authorization in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship needs.
