Senior Product Designer, Merchant Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the design initiatives for our merchant portal, influencing how retailers handle applications, monitor customer activity, generate reports, and uncover marketing opportunities.

• Work in close collaboration with product managers, developers, and leadership to investigate, brainstorm, design, test, and implement solutions that meet user requirements and business objectives.

• Monitor the effectiveness of launched designs using product data and user feedback, making iterative improvements to enhance user experiences.

• Contribute to and advance the Koalafi Design System in Figma, ensuring consistency and high quality across every aspect of the portal.

• Utilize tools such as Slack, Confluence, and Jira to maintain alignment with cross-functional teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in a UX/UI/product design capacity, collaborating closely with product managers and developers throughout the design lifecycle.

• Demonstrated experience in designing and launching complex web applications or B2B portals, along with a solid understanding of responsive design principles and web interaction patterns.

• Advanced skills in Figma, encompassing components, auto-layout, grids, slots, variables, and prototyping.

• Proficient in conducting comprehensive design research and design thinking sessions, including user interviews, analysis, and workshops.

• Capable of managing multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced development environment.

• Strong empathy for users, with the capability to conduct interviews, evaluate feedback, and leverage product data to identify and prioritize the most pressing challenges.

• Willingness and enthusiasm to present findings, proposals, and results to organizational leaders.

• Experience in contributing to or managing a shared design system, with a keen eye for detail.

• Background in the fintech sector or experience with financial products is preferred.
