Senior Product Designer, Growth

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the comprehensive design strategy for impactful growth initiatives, managing the entire process from opportunity identification to delivering polished solutions, while closely collaborating with product, engineering, data, research, and design leadership.

• Establish the vision for how growth principles will shape the next-generation creative experience at QuillBot, defining the strategic growth levers within the products and guiding the team toward significant enhancements.

• Coordinate cross-functional experimentation, ensuring that hypotheses are well-defined, designs are testable, success metrics are established, and insights inform both product direction and future experimentation frameworks.

• Foster cross-product cohesion by collaborating with other designers to ensure that growth initiatives and rapid experiments integrate seamlessly across our suite of tools, maintaining quality and consistency on a large scale.

• Advance and enhance the design system to facilitate scalable growth, balancing flexibility in experimentation with long-term system integrity and developing new patterns that expedite iteration.

• Advocate for a comprehensive understanding of user behavior by integrating quantitative analysis with in-depth qualitative insights to uncover motivations, friction points, and opportunities for maximizing user value.

• Promote a culture of design and experimentation excellence by leading critiques, mentoring designers, codifying best practices, and establishing rituals that elevate standards for quality, speed, and impact.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in designing consumer-facing digital products.

• A portfolio that showcases strategic thinking, exceptional craftsmanship, leadership in experimentation, and clear examples of design decisions that influenced key product metrics.

• Extensive expertise in scaling and extending design systems, ensuring they facilitate rapid iteration without compromising brand integrity or usability.

• Operates with a high degree of autonomy and clarity, confidently navigating ambiguity while delivering high-quality outcomes efficiently.

• Outstanding interaction and visual design skills, merging craftsmanship, clarity, and behavioral insights to impact user decisions and drive growth results.

• Advanced prototyping capabilities—experienced in validating ideas, communicating direction, and accelerating experimentation processes.

• Strong written communication and narrative abilities; capable of articulating problem areas, hypotheses, insights, and design rationales with clarity and persuasive influence.

• Experience in shaping or designing AI-powered tools, with the skill to guide teams toward intuitive, reliable, and distinctive AI experiences.

• Proven growth mindset, comfortable in a metrics-driven setting, skilled at designing, interpreting, and iterating on experiments that enhance activation, retention, and conversion.

• Bonus: Background in using AI in the design process, front-end engineering skills, or demonstrated leadership in developing growth pipelines or experimentation frameworks.
