Senior Product Designer, Design QA – Design System

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of Design QA throughout the product lifecycle: establish quality standards, conduct organized design reviews, and ensure that delivered experiences align with expectations.

• Develop and enhance Design QA processes: implement review schedules, quality checklists, and feedback mechanisms.

• Advance the design system: manage components, patterns, tokens, and governance.

• Promote the adoption and consistency of the design system across various teams.

• Identify and mitigate design debt and UI discrepancies.

• Oversee design initiatives from inception to completion.

• Provide mentorship to designers on their craft, system thinking, and QA methodologies.

• Ensure design accuracy in collaboration with engineering teams.

• Collaborate with PM and Engineering to jointly own product outcomes.

• Eager and capable of instructing others on integrating AI into their workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a Product/UI Designer working on intricate products.

• Proficient in visual design and systematic thinking.

• Extensive experience with Design QA and design review procedures.

• Demonstrated success in owning or scaling a design system.

• Skilled in identifying and resolving design debt.

• Capability to define and monitor design quality metrics.

• Expertise in Figma (including components, auto-layout, variables, and prototyping).

• Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Familiarity with AI tools to enhance design tasks is a plus.

• Preferable: experience with design audits, design tokens, design-to-code workflows, AEC/BIM domain familiarity, motion design and micro-interactions, and understanding of HTML/CSS.
