This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Oversee the design of crucial product experiences within Linus Health’s digital ecosystem, including the creation of a new consumer health experience centered on brain health education and engagement.
• Convert early product strategy, conceptual wireframes, business objectives, and technical requirements into clear and user-friendly product experiences.
• Develop high-quality mobile and responsive web designs that accommodate various consumer and partner entry points.
• Collaborate with Product Management to establish MVP scope, clarify problem statements, shape product requirements, and prioritize high-value user experiences.
• Work closely with Engineering to comprehend technical constraints, platform dependencies, assessment requirements, wearable integrations, and delivery trade-offs.
• Operate within Linus’s existing design system while thoughtfully expanding patterns for consumer engagement.
• Create prototypes for usability testing, stakeholder alignment, executive review, and engineering handoff.
• Team up with UX Research to plan, test, and iterate on concepts.
• Implement accessibility, cognitive accessibility, and plain-language principles into designs.
• Balance speed, quality, and ambiguity while supporting an agile, cross-functional build team.
• Document user flows, interaction patterns, edge cases, and design decisions in Figma, Jira, and Confluence.
• Engage in design critiques and collaborate within a small yet expanding design team.
• Senior-level product design experience (5+ years), preferably in consumer health, digital health, healthcare, wellness, life sciences, or complex regulated products.
• Robust portfolio showcasing end-to-end product design across mobile and responsive web experiences.
• Expertise in Figma, including designing within and extending established design systems.
• Strong skills in interaction design, information architecture, and visual design.
• Ability to operate in ambiguous product environments and leverage design to provide structure, clarity, and momentum.
• Familiarity with product development tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Excellent communication skills, including the capacity to articulate design rationale to technical, clinical, product, and executive stakeholders.
• High-level understanding of regulated product considerations and boundaries (e.g., the differentiation between wellness and clinical experiences) with the discernment to identify when Legal or Compliance input is necessary.
• Capability to work efficiently while upholding a high standard for usability and accessibility.
• Experience in mobile app design, native app patterns, push notification strategies, or wearable-integrated experiences (Nice to Haves).
• Experience designing healthcare consent, privacy, data-sharing, or regulated workflows (Nice to Haves).
• Familiarity with behavioral nudging, longitudinal engagement, habit formation, or personalized content delivery (Nice to Haves).
• Experience in designing white-labeled, partner-configurable, or multi-channel product experiences (Nice to Haves).
• Experience supporting usability testing or mixed-methods research (Nice to Haves).
• Thoughtful utilization of AI tools to enhance design workflows, ideation, prototyping, synthesis, or documentation, with appropriate consideration for privacy and compliance (Nice to Haves).
