Senior Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Oversee the product design function, working in close collaboration with Leadership, Engineering, Product, and Marketing teams.

• Create the complete user journey for Symbiotic's product suite, making on-chain complexities understandable and streamlining user flows.

• Highlight risk, exposure, and returns so users are aware of their commitments and the implications of changing conditions.

• Conduct user research by interviewing users, observing their behaviors, and transforming insights into specific feature scopes for engineering implementation.

• Collaborate closely with Engineering to identify problems, evaluate trade-offs, and design solutions that adhere to real protocol constraints.

⛳️ Requirements

• Profound understanding of on-chain concepts: wallets, approvals, signing, gas, transaction lifecycle, and chain latency, along with an awareness of how these factors influence design possibilities.

• Proven experience in delivering a DeFi product to actual users, with the ability to reference it.

• A portfolio that showcases comprehensive product work, demonstrating both systems-level thinking and meticulous attention to detail.

• A history of working independently in dynamic, ambiguous settings with minimal supervision.

• Ability to work without support: no design team, no inherited design system, and no queue for your tasks.

• Proactively conduct your own research instead of waiting for it to be provided.

• Strong cross-functional communication skills, enabling effective partnerships with Engineering while being open to scrutiny.

• High proficiency in Figma and contemporary prototyping workflows.
