This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Take full ownership of a feature from the initial customer discussions to the live version in production.
• Draft the specifications independently, collaborate closely with engineers during the development phase, and ensure that your design is implemented on production exactly as envisioned.
• Sustain the components and patterns that facilitate efficient design processes.
• Manage the team’s shipping process. Create specifications, oversee the ticketing workflow, and ensure engineers remain unblocked.
• Develop the tools and skills — such as Cursor rules, design QA capabilities, and prompt templates — that enable engineers to execute excellent design work independently.
• Collaborate within a small team, typically consisting of one or two engineers, and work closely from the initial prototype through to production.
• Over 8 years of experience in designing B2B SaaS desktop applications at a Staff/Principal Product Designer level or similar, particularly involving complex interfaces like tables, filters, permissions, and settings pages.
• Previous experience as the sole designer or one of a few in organizations with fewer than 50 employees. You understand how to set high standards without the support of a design organization.
• Your portfolio reflects individual contributions; you can accurately reference the engineer you collaborated with on each feature, the design choices you advocated for during development, and the outcomes once the feature was released to users.
• You possess strong and concise communication skills in English, whether in Slack messages, documentation, or during calls.
• You are proficient in Figma, regardless of AI tools, and have a strong familiarity with LLMs.
• You view engineering feasibility as a factor to consider rather than a limitation. When an engineer states, "three weeks, here's why," you identify an alternative that is 80% effective and can be delivered within a week.
• You are comfortable handling product tasks without necessarily holding a PM title.
• You are receptive to feedback and can return the next day with improved solutions, rather than defending outdated versions during the interim.
• Generous equity, granting everyone ownership.
• 26 days of vacation plus local public holidays.
• Comprehensive health insurance coverage.
• An annual personal development budget of €1,000.
• Budget for remote workspace and co-working arrangements.
• Access to the latest equipment.
• Team summits held 1-2 times a year, with recent locations including Costa Brava, the Austrian Alps, and Milan.
• Local hubs situated in Munich, Berlin, and London, along with visa assistance for relocation if desired.
