Senior Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Oversee the comprehensive design process: Assume responsibility for design from initial concept to final implementation, ensuring a user-focused approach throughout every phase. Leverage AI tools to accelerate exploration, divergence, and iteration while maintaining high standards of quality.

• Create AI-enhanced experiences: Assist in defining how AI functionalities are integrated into our products, prioritizing trust, transparency, and practicality in features driven by models and agents. Cultivate a strong intuition for AI's strengths and weaknesses and design accordingly.

• Utilize AI for prototyping: Employ AI-driven prototyping and code-generation tools to develop realistic, testable prototypes swiftly, thereby expediting the journey from concept to validated learning.

• Contribute to the design system: Collaborate with our design system to maintain consistency while enhancing and broadening our component library, including patterns for AI-driven interactions. Serve as a key domain expert in Codility product design. Promote a collaborative and inclusive design culture by offering feedback, coaching, guidance, and mentorship to fellow designers, including effective use of AI tools.

• Facilitate design reviews and iterate: Organize design reviews and collect feedback from the team, integrating their perspectives to refine and enhance design solutions.

• Conduct user research and gather insights: Execute research activities such as interviews, surveys, and usability testing to gain a deep understanding of user needs, challenges, and behaviors. Utilize AI to synthesize research findings, identify patterns, and transform insights into actionable design enhancements, while critically assessing what the models may overlook.

• Develop intuitive and visually appealing designs: Leverage your expertise in interaction design, information architecture, and visual design to craft intuitive, engaging interfaces. Produce high-fidelity wireframes, prototypes, and specifications that effectively communicate your ideas.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Operate within an autonomous team led by a product trio (designer, product manager, and engineering manager) to ensure smooth collaboration and effective execution.

• Communicate with clarity: Clearly articulate design concepts and rationale both in writing and verbally. Create compelling UX copy in English, and thoughtfully employ AI to draft, refine, and test that copy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in product design: A minimum of 5 years working as a designer in a product development environment, with a robust portfolio showcasing problem-solving skills, product thinking, and measurable impact. Preference for experience in SaaS and B2B; familiarity with engineer-facing products is advantageous.

• Practical experience with AI design tools: Proficient use of AI tools within your workflow, including AI features in Figma, AI prototyping and code-generation tools, and LLM-based assistants for ideation, research synthesis, and copywriting. Experience designing AI-powered product features is a plus.

• Proficiency in design tools: Skilled in industry-standard tools such as Figma and modern prototyping applications.

• In-depth understanding of user-centered design principles: Proven expertise in user-centered methodologies, user research, interaction design, and information architecture, with the capability to translate user insights into effective solutions.

• Strategic mindset: Strong strategic thinking ability with the potential to influence product strategy and roadmap conversations, particularly regarding how AI can deliver genuine user value. Capable of balancing user needs, business objectives, and technical limitations.

• Strong problem-solving abilities: Proficient in analyzing complex design challenges, pinpointing key issues, and proposing innovative solutions. Comfortable in a fast-paced, iterative setting and adept at utilizing AI to broaden the range of options available for testing.

• Commitment to continuous learning: A genuine enthusiasm for learning and staying updated on design trends, emerging technologies, and AI advancements. Quick to adopt and critically assess new processes and tools.

• Thoughtful judgment regarding AI: A well-considered perspective on when to utilize AI and when not to, maintaining a focus on quality, accessibility, ethics, and the craftsmanship that defines exceptional design.
