This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Responsible for analyzing, developing, and enhancing industrial processes.
• Support the comprehensive design and analysis of mechanical components and system designs for nuclear and commercial initiatives.
• Collaborate with production teams, quality control, and fellow engineers.
• Utilize extensive knowledge of engineering principles to design products, including chemical engineering systems.
• Perform a range of engineering calculations employing both advanced and traditional methods.
• Conduct experiments and tests to aid in the preparation of design documents and modifications for plants.
• Ensure the relevant design criteria, specifications, practices, procedures, and codes are adhered to.
• Work within multi-disciplinary teams on project-based assignments.
• Provide mentoring, guidance, and quality reviews for the work of junior colleagues.
• Suggest new equipment, concepts, and techniques to enhance performance.
• Operate with a high level of independence.
• A Bachelor's degree is required in chemical, mechanical, industrial, or a related engineering discipline.
• A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in the nuclear industry is preferred.
• PE certification preferred; Master's degree is also preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge and experience in process systems design are essential.
• A solid understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals with the ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks.
• Must be eligible to work under 10 CFR Part 810.e.
