Senior Principal Technology – Storage Pathfinding

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Establish and nurture robust technical relationships with key clients and partners.

• Examine industry trends and emerging technologies to assess their effects on future product requirements.

• Guide and inform internal teams regarding advancements in technology.

• Contribute to the formulation of KIOXIA’s technology strategy.

• Serve as KIOXIA’s representative at significant industry events.

• Engage with open-source communities and collaborate on storage-related initiatives.

• Take part in assessing potential technology partnerships or acquisitions.

• Offer technical perspectives for due diligence processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 12 years of experience in developing Data Center Infrastructure class Linux software or Enterprise-class storage solutions.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in architecting filesystems, block device layer drivers, or data management features for storage systems.

• More than 5 years of experience in assessing new technologies for partnerships or acquisitions, including market evaluations and technical due diligence.

• Familiarity with the open-source sector, including active involvement in community development activities.

• Understanding of AI workflows, encompassing data access patterns and infrastructure needs.

• Comprehensive knowledge of how storage systems interact with software applications.

• Strong capabilities in technical leadership and mentoring.

• Exceptional verbal communication and proficient writing skills.

• Openness to travel approximately 25% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
