This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +2 more states.
• Act as the primary pre-sales technical consultant for designated Federal Civilian Agency clients, focusing on campus, branch, WAN, security, and access control frameworks.
• Collaborate with Account Managers to identify, assess, and progress opportunities from initial discovery to final closure.
• Conduct customer discovery sessions and convert business, operational, and technical needs into solution architectures and strategic roadmaps.
• Design and showcase solutions covering wired and wireless campus networking, branch networking, WAN, security, NAC, automation, and cloud-managed operations.
• Create and deliver technical proposals, presentations, workshops, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept sessions.
• Clearly communicate HPE Networking's unique advantages and position solutions effectively against competitors.
• Work closely with internal engineering, product management, services, and partner teams to eliminate obstacles and align solutions with customer outcomes.
• Stay informed about market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies relevant to cloud-driven customer settings.
• Build trusted relationships with customer engineers, architects, operations leaders, and decision-makers.
• Assist in channel and partner engagement where applicable to enhance outreach and impact within accounts.
• Travel frequently to customer sites, internal meetings, and strategic events.
• A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Extensive pre-sales systems engineering, solution consulting, or similar customer-facing experience in enterprise or cloud-focused settings.
• Profound experience in campus and branch networking, including wired, wireless, WAN, security, and network access control.
• Strong proficiency in Juniper Junos and Mist is essential.
• Knowledge of APIs is preferred. Familiarity with SRX is highly desirable, as well as experience with DMVPN, ADVPN, or GroupVPN.
• Experience with network access security solutions such as HPE Aruba ClearPass, Juniper Access Assurance, Cisco ISE, or comparable platforms.
• Solid understanding of data center and WAN technologies; direct hands-on experience in one or both is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to support complex customer environments and translate technical capabilities into mission value.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders from engineers to executives.
• Willingness and ability to travel to customer locations primarily throughout the United States.
