Senior Power BI Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with key stakeholders to gain insights into business challenges and establish reporting/dashboard requirements.

• Define the needs for Business Analytics, outline reporting data structures, identify data sources, and pinpoint data automation solutions.

• Partner with Data Engineering on sophisticated ETL processes.

• Create, publish, and schedule advanced interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI.

• Utilize Power BI to analyze trends and drive business initiatives.

• Employ SQL and DAX to address complex business logic and reporting requirements.

• Merge various Azure SDW data tables to develop Power BI datasets and reports.

• Construct advanced data analytics models utilizing Power BI, SSAS, AAS, and data flows.

• Work alongside the BI Team to design and implement effective, precise schemas.

• Offer technical mentorship to junior and associate developers.

• Lead business analysis efforts to collect reporting and dashboard requirements.

• Support business users in defining functional and data requirements to improve data models.

• Leverage Microsoft Power Platform to automate reporting and processes.

• Troubleshoot report issues and optimize the performance of reports and dashboards.

• Design, implement, and maintain a platform for ad-hoc access to large datasets.

• Address complex business inquiries and reporting requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Computer Science, or Information Technology, or equivalent work experience is preferred.

• In-depth understanding of DAX and SQL.

• Experience with Python is preferred.

• Eagerness to learn new technologies and integrate AI into analytics workflows.

• Over 6 years of experience in developing Power BI reports, dashboards, indicators, and scorecards.

• More than 6 years of development experience in data analytics technologies, particularly Microsoft Power BI.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure.

• Extensive experience with SSRS/Paginated Reports.

• Proficient in interpreting data to guide business decisions.

• Capable of gathering and comprehending requirements, including design and prototyping.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Ability to operate both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Self-driven and motivated.
