Lead Business Intelligence Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Serve as the main data collaborator for product, clinical, client success, finance, and engineering teams.

• Coordinate cross-functional projects and develop a cohesive, data-informed organizational environment.

• Design measurement frameworks for product, clinical, and commercial projects.

• Establish performance metrics and illustrate the economic value and ROI of CirrusMD’s solutions to external clients and stakeholders.

• Manage the entire project data lifecycle from ideation and feasibility assessment to internal and client-facing reporting.

• Work alongside engineers to define data structures and construct the Looker semantic layer.

• Convert complex datasets into actionable insights that guide strategic decisions.

• Develop and sustain visualization solutions and reporting frameworks for essential performance metrics.

• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of relevant analytics experience.

• Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into technical implementation for cross-functional stakeholders.

• Strong to advanced proficiency in SQL.

• Experience with cloud data platforms, such as Snowflake.

• Familiarity with BI reporting tools, including Looker Cloud/On-Prem.

• Expertise in building semantic layers using LookML.

• Experience managing version control through GitHub.

• Knowledge of data architecture best practices for scalable, high-performance reporting environments.

• Capability to manage the complete data lifecycle, from greenfield modeling to refactoring and optimizing legacy technical debt.

• Outstanding bi-directional communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to prioritize competing tasks and meet deadlines.

• Experience handling complex client-facing data requests while complying with data governance standards.

• Experience overseeing high-integrity data processes such as billing, invoicing, or clinical reporting.

• Knowledge and application of statistical methods, including confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, sentiment analysis, and anomaly detection.

• Preferred: experience with dbt and Airflow.

• Preferred: capability to use Python/R for analysis beyond standard SQL.

• Preferred: expertise in the healthcare domain, including HIPAA/FedRAMP compliance, PII/PHI handling, and HEDIS/NCQA/NQF clinical metrics.

• Preferred: familiarity with event-based tracking and Customer Data Platforms such as Segment.

• Preferred: understanding of modern data stacks and infrastructure dependencies.

• Preferred: experience implementing AI-driven BI capabilities like Natural Language Querying or Looker Conversational Analytics.

• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States permanently and continuously without the need for sponsorship.
