Senior Policy Economist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conducting modeling of regulatory and economic impacts, along with providing guidance to policy team members.

• Employing AI/ML and econometric models to extract insights from legislation and various data sources.

• Collaborating with academics and specialists on topics related to policy research.

• Performing mapping and spatial analysis of data.

• Creating compelling visualizations to effectively communicate key concepts.

• Transforming findings into "Data Journalism" that supports our communications team.

• Developing prototypes, dashboards, and other tools to enhance data utilization throughout a large organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of an advanced degree in a quantitative discipline.

• Over 4 years of experience in data modeling and analysis, with a focus on utilizing AI.

• More than 5 years of industry experience with a BS/Masters, or at least 2 years with a PhD.

• Capability to conduct complex strategic analyses.

• Strong project management, communication, and teamwork abilities.

• Familiarity with causal inference techniques (e.g., econometric regressions and quasi-experimental methods).

• Proficiency in data tools such as R/Python, SQL, Data Visualization, and GIS.

• Background in the policy and economics field, or related areas.
