Senior Platform Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Expand, improve, and enhance the capabilities of the cloud platform

• Enhance system stability and scalability

• Integrate new technologies and methodologies into the system

• Play a key role in a large-scale, highly concurrent, and reliable cloud-based system

• Collaborate across various platform segments such as video streaming, analytics, big-data storage, and IoT communication pipelines

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science

• Over 4 years of experience in a backend-focused software engineering team

• Experience in developing distributed, scalable, and secure backend systems

• Familiarity with data streaming architectures and methodologies

• Knowledge of responsible AI tools, principles, and model integration

• Proficient in Python or Go

• Experience with the AWS stack and understanding of how services interact and when to utilize each

• Familiarity with Kafka, Scylla, Redis, MySQL, and DynamoDB

• Experience designing RESTful APIs

• Strong fundamentals in testing

• A keen interest in cybersecurity

• Practical experience with Kubernetes (K8S)

• Understanding of data pipelines and warehousing concepts

• Interest in connected devices and home automation technologies

• Exposure to large-scale machine learning systems

• Previous experience in a startup environment
