This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure in AWS with a focus on scalability, reliability, security, and automation.
• Manage infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code, including hands-on experience with Terraform and familiarity with CloudFormation.
• Deploy, administer, and sustain Kubernetes clusters in production settings.
• Enhance platform tools, deployment workflows, and operational practices that assist engineering teams and production systems.
• Implement and oversee observability and monitoring solutions, ideally possessing experience with Datadog, across metrics, logging, alerting, and incident response.
• Work with containerized systems and deployment workflows, including image build pipelines and optimization methods.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines, requiring experience with GitHub Actions; familiarity with Jenkins and/or ArgoCD is advantageous.
• Collaborate with colleagues across engineering to identify requirements, assess options, and deliver effective infrastructure and platform solutions.
• Investigate platform and infrastructure challenges, support root cause analysis, and contribute to sustainable enhancements.
• Engage in technical planning, architectural discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives within the platform engineering domain.
• Proven experience in infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, or site reliability engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience in AWS production environments, ideally with experience in CloudFormation.
• Significant hands-on expertise in Terraform, including the capability of writing and managing infrastructure beyond basic exposure.
• Experience in implementing observability and monitoring practices, preferably with Datadog.
• Production experience in Kubernetes administration and deployment, including cluster deployment, configuration, and maintenance.
• Familiarity with container build and deployment systems, including image optimization techniques like layer management and efficient build strategies.
• Experience in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines, particularly with GitHub Actions.
• Ability to navigate technical challenges in environments where priorities and requirements may be subject to change.
