This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and sustain essential shared services such as VPCs, DNS, PKI, and secrets management.
• Take ownership of the cloud landing zone, which encompasses multi-region connectivity, account/resource structure, tagging standards, and cost-effective scaling.
• Develop and uphold Infrastructure as Code pipelines to ensure that infrastructure modifications are automated, tested, and repeatable.
• Create self-service code-hosting pathways featuring templated repository creation, visibility standards, branch protection, and CI hooks.
• Establish self-service deployment pathways with golden-path hosting patterns for static sites, lightweight services, and scheduled jobs.
• Implement guardrails, including policy-as-code, tagging enforcement, cost controls, and security baselines.
• Build foundational observability infrastructure for logging, metrics, and tracing.
• Collaborate with SRE on platform availability, resilience, and performance.
• Manage relationships with cloud vendors and tools, proactively identifying risks and cost concerns.
• Report directly to the Senior Director of Information Technology.
• Over 5 years of experience in platform, infrastructure, or cloud engineering, with a proven track record of managing production cloud environments.
• Practical experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including multi-account architecture.
• Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Pulumi, or Ansible.
• Familiarity with GitOps-style delivery pipelines such as GitHub Actions.
• Solid understanding of networking and security principles, including VPC design, DNS, PKI, and secrets management.
• Experience with observability tools like Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Knowledge of cloud cost management and FinOps practices.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and partnership abilities with SREs, security teams, and developer productivity.
• Valid right-to-work authorization as per the country of employment.
• A background check may be required upon job offer.
• Experience in supporting non-engineering builders with self-service infrastructure is a plus.
