This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with customers, colleagues, stakeholders, partners, vendors, and other resources to enhance customer experience
• Evaluate customers’ business strategies, drivers, constraints, current technology landscapes, application portfolios, external requirements, pain points, and challenges
• Partner with customers to resolve existing shortcomings
• Leverage Mirantis products and expertise to transform current environments into integrated, stable, secure, and future-ready platforms
• Provide well-founded reasoning for recommendations and articulate the rationale behind them
• Establish yourself as a trusted advisor to customers
• Collaborate with Mirantis product teams to aid in further development and address deficiencies
• Present architectures, roadmaps, and justifications to customer executives and technical teams
• Engage with customers on-site across various regions during discovery, design, and advisory processes
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• Extensive experience in architecture and engineering within infrastructure or platform engineering
• Experience in customer-facing architecture or advisory roles
• Ability to consider the enterprise as a whole and align technology decisions with business objectives
• Broad knowledge of private cloud platforms, including OpenStack
• Familiarity with Kubernetes-based container platforms
• Understanding of multi-cluster management concepts and tools
• Awareness of workload requirements
• Knowledge of vSphere/VMware environments, virtualization strategies, and migration routes to open platforms
• Understanding of bare-metal provisioning and the physical infrastructure lifecycle, including data center principles
• Comprehension of cloud or container platform components and their integrations
• Subject matter expertise in at least one area, such as networking
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python or Go
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for both business and technical audiences
• Willingness and ability to travel, primarily within the EU and US
• Proficiency in English; additional European language skills are advantageous
