Senior Platform Engineer – Enterprise Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Harden and oversee container images to ensure compliance for distribution channels.

• Develop and enhance Terraform modules and Helm charts utilized for deploying Coder in client environments.

• Take ownership of reference architectures, ensuring they remain accurate as the platform evolves and enterprise deployment patterns change.

• Enhance the upgrade experience for our users, striving for a more seamless, predictable, and dependable process.

• Contribute to architectural decisions and collaborate with various teams across the engineering department.

• Mentor fellow engineers, imparting knowledge and elevating the overall quality of the team’s output.

• Maintain a high standard for code quality, security, and performance in all deliverables.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering, with direct responsibility for deployment artifacts relied upon by users or internal teams.

• Hands-on expertise with Terraform, Helm, and container images.

• A proven history of delivering infrastructure utilized by large enterprise clients.

• Strong technical proficiency in Linux, Kubernetes, containers, and Infrastructure as Code.

• Familiarity with at least one major public cloud platform: AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• A solid understanding of IP networking, HTTP fundamentals, and distributed systems.

• Experience in designing CI/CD pipelines and working with observability or monitoring systems.

• Strong judgment regarding security, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
