Senior Data Engineer, Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Exhibit leadership and accountability for the platform to deliver services tailored for projects and users.

• Offer infrastructure advice on data platform functionalities to meet business and technical requirements.

• Utilize your excellent communication skills to keep users updated and ensure a high standard of service.

• Streamline and oversee provisioning tasks, including Snowflake storage and compute, Role Based Access Control models, and permissions management.

• Set up and manage monitoring and alerting systems for replication latency, performance (both cluster and query), and Airflow.

• Collaborate and coordinate with related infrastructure and AWS services to facilitate Snowflake integration with offerings like S3, IAM, SSO, etc.

• Deliver technical knowledge, troubleshooting, and support for change management, compliance governance, internal audits, and remediation efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A demonstrated history of administration, engineering, and operationalizing Snowflake, Databricks, or comparable Cloud Data Platforms.

• Proficient in AWS, Terraform, CloudFormation, Python, and database replication tools/services (such as AWS DMS).

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.

• Familiarity with various data logging and monitoring tools, including DataDog.

• Strong SQL skills and knowledge of multiple data engines (for instance, SQL Server, MySQL, Amazon Aurora, Redshift) is highly advantageous.

• Experience in software development (preferably using Python).
